Brett Knox
President since 2006
Brett. Knox has more than 25 years experience in new market and product development and business and technical operations in the service industry. Prior to joining GreenHomes, he served as senior vice president of market development for The Linc Group where he was responsible for identifying and developing vertical market technology strategies and solutions for TLG.
Prior to TLG, Mr. Knox served as vice president of product management and marketing for Sage Software, the leading supplier of ERP and CRM software in the small and mid-sized marketplace.
Previously, Mr. Knox held several executive positions in marketing, product management, and market development, and was part of the original design team at FieldCentrix, a leading provider of mobile field service automation solutions. Mr. Knox is the co-author of two patents in mobile wireless solutions for field force automation.
Mike Rogers
Senior Vice President, Market Development since January 2006
Prior to joining GreenHomes, Mike Rogers had an 11-year affiliation with the EPA, holding various positions focusing primarily on the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (HPwES) and the ENERGY STAR Home Improvement programs.
He has more than 10 years of specialized experience in home performance contracting. Most significantly, Mr. Rogers was one of the original creators of the HPwES program, developing the criteria for the program and then helping to implement and promote it in New York and other states as well.
Michelle Knaszak
Director of Training since December 2005
Michelle Knaszak has 20-plus years employed in the New York weatherization program. During her years in the weatherization program, she worked on various multi-family projects that included all aspects of energy conservation, including electrical savings, water conservation and shell measures.
Ms. Knaszak owned and operated a home performance contracting business for five years and is extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of home performance, BPI standards, quality assurance and building audits. She has taught numerous home performance classes and has been an advocate of energy efficiency through speaking engagements throughout the country.
She currently holds BPI certifications in BA1, Shell, Heating & Cooling, Multi-family, and is a HERS Rater.
Dave Abrey
Director of Quality Assurance since January 2006
Dave Abrey assists with the development of diagnostic procedures and installation best practices for 1 to 4 family homes and multi-family buildings. Mr. Abrey has more than 20 years experience in the energy efficiency industry and currently hold BPI certifications in BA-1, Shell & Mechanical. He is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
Prior to GreenHomes, he managed quality assurance for NYSERDA's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program as the Director of Quality Assurance for Conservation Services Group (CSG). Mr. Abrey was also the project manager for the energy retrofit project completed on the Statue of Liberty in New York.
Dick Kornbluth
Director of Technical Development since May 2006
Dick Kornbluth has almost 30 years experience in the home performance industry. He started EnTherm Inc., a Syracuse-based retrofit insulation, and home performance contracting company in 1980. EnTherm was the first contractor enrolled into New York’s Home Performance with Energy Star program in 2001.
He currently serves on the boards of Affordable Comfort, Inc, the Building Performance Institute and the Building Performance Contractors Association of New York State, where he is Board President. He has also served in the Peace Corps and on the Board of the Syracuse Habitat for Humanity chapter.
Rayji Powers
Area Manager since 2010
Rayji Powers previously owned and operated an energy efficiency and renewable energy company concentrating on commercial and residential applications. He and his wife own a thriving eco conscious retail storefront offering sustainably green products and services.
For much of his career, Mr. Powers has led 40-80 person teams as general manager in large corporate environments concentrating in residential sales, service, and logistics.
Prior to residential sales, he enjoyed six years as operations director focusing on the operations of multi state locations, expansion, and retrofit of independent theaters. Mr. Powers is also BPI certified as a Building Analyst.
Lisa Farmer
Director of Marketing since 2010
With over 25 years in executive marketing communications and media management, her career in serving leading national brands spans both Fortune 500 and agency-side positions.
Her experience includes Emerson Electric (commercial HVAC), Fujitsu and CalComp/Lockheed where she orchestrated corporate marketing communications programs both domestically and internationally in support of new product introductions, promotions, special events and ongoing advertising and brand initiatives.
While agency-side she managed programs for Mitsubishi, Seiko, IBM and Panasonic (to name a few). Her experience covers numerous vertical markets (including residential energy).
